October 19th-23rd is Red Ribbon Week.

Red Ribbon Week serves to promote a drug-free lifestyle and making good choices. Our students will focus on how to make good choices by respecting ourselves and others, offering kindness, maintaining honesty, and being responsible.

Fun activities during Red Ribbon Week:

Red Ribbon Week Campaign

Each day has a theme. Students who participate will get 1 raffle ticket each day. Drawings will be held on Friday to win $5 gift cards from Menchie’s frozen yogurt or Baskin & Robbins Ice Cream.

  • Monday, 10/19 Wear RED Day to Kick Off Red Ribbon Week!
  • Tuesday, 10/20 Hero Dress Up Day: Help, Encourage, and Respect Others!
  • Wednesday, 10/21 Crazy socks on Walk/Bike to School Day: Let’s Make Healthy Choices!
  • Thursday, 10/22 Crazy Hat Day: Taking Drugs is Crazy!
  • Friday, 10/23 Spirit Wear Day: College Park Kids Make Good Choices!

Pennies for Prevention. Please send ONLY pennies! The school will earn $1 for every pound of pennies. Contest on Friday, top classes will get popsicles the following Monday during lunch.

Good Choice Card. Students will get the card on Monday the 19th. Parents need to sign the card when the student makes a good choice. Students whose cards are signed by parents every day will earn one “homework pass”. The class with the most completed cards will earn an “eat lunch on the grass” event.
